Bryn Standing

I have quite a few things to post, but I'm a bit under the weather.

I just wanted to post these pics of the Amazing Standing Bryn! She's even starting to "cruise" along the furniture.

Please to enjoy....

Such a big girl!

I know it's a little fuzzy, but I only got 2 pictures - total. She's been standing for a few days now, but she immediately drops when I get the camera. I take what I can get!

She kicks one leg out quite often, looking like she's on bended knee. I asked her if she was proposing to someone. This prompted Dale to say "No, she's just got some Captain in her".

The Rosses!!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo! My BFF, Jen, and her family came down for a week of fun with her family.

Not only have I not seen Jen since Christmas Day (she, Bob, and Kathy actually came by the hospital on Christmas Day to see me during the infamous infection debacle), but we've hadn't met each other's little ones!

Bobby is as cute in person as he is on Jen's blog (okay, he's even cuter)! Jen has said before how she feels like she knows Bryn from keeping up with the blog and I have to admit, on the way home, I looked to Dale and said "It's so crazy. Even though this is the first time actually physically seeing him, I feel like I've known him since he was born."

It was bitter sweet seeing the Ross Fam. I love seeing them, but as I sit here typing this, I realize I don't know when I'll next get to see them.

Bryn LOVED the beach! She was crawling and playing in the sand and eating her fair share as well. We are so fortunate to not only live so close to the beach, but also that my wonderful parents have a condo that they let us borrow whenever we life. It really made us realize we need to take them up on their offer and bring the princess out there.

Oh Daddy, this is so comfy.

Playing in the mud.

She didn't even cry when a wave came and slapped her in the face! I kept saying she's at that age where she's just not quite old enough to know to be afraid of things. I don't want that day to come yet.

Bobby sippin on some juice. Those beautiful big blue eyes!

Me and Jen (is it incorrect to put me first if I'm labeling a picture?).

All smiles!

Mommy, I'll just nap right here.

Happy 84th Birthday Grandpa!

My Grandpa's 84th birthday was this past Thursday and we had an impromptu get together over at his house.

It was great to see everyone, as usual. You could definitely tell there was something missing without the presence of my Grandma, but everyone had a wonderful time, including my Grandpa, which I was super grateful for.

We got to meet Kristin (Jason's girlfriend) finally as they were both in town from L.A. From, L to R, Kristin, Jason (my cousin), my Aunt Lili and her son, Robbie (my cousin).

Grandpa brings out his singing frog who pokes out his tongue.

And, naturally, the rein-dog and other singing frog (this one dances too).

The Amazing Standing Baby with Grandmama (and Ann in the forefront).

I wanted a picture with Grandpa and Brynnie and I (Dale couldn't make it), and Gary said "Lisa, do you think you might want to stand somewhere else so the lights don't distort the picture?" Obviously, I said no, and this is the best picture I got. Hrumph.

The best part is my Aunt, Candi, in the background, being a goof.

Brynnie Bryn is 7 Months Old!

Sheesh, time sure does fly by! Bryn turned 7 months old yesterday.

She's crawling ALL over the place as well as pulling up on everything. She can get one leg out, and Cindy said she pulled herself up to standing yesterday all on her own, but we have yet to witness this. Quite honestly, we're not ready for her to be standing yet.

One of her top teeth is just about to burst through to join the two on the bottom.

Brynnie is eating a lot of solid foods and has become a master at feeding herself Puffs.

We've also pushed her bedtime back an hour. Well, technically, she pushed her bedtime back an hour and it makes our lives a lot easier to go along with it.

I didn't take any pictures yesterday (bad Mommy), but enjoy these pictures from Thursday of Brynnie and Mercer (future best friends).

They're holding hands! How cute is that?! I love, love, love this picture!

Cindy keeps telling me Bryn is going to hate me for doing this like this. I have no idea what she's talking about.

4th of July Weekend - Day 3

So, technically July 5th - Jeni's birthday!

We only lasted a couple of hours at the park this time. Again, yes, it was hot, but also, Bryn can't go on any rides, so we spent most of our time going from stroller parking to stroller parking. I can't wait until our annual Christmas family time when we all go to Disney for a few days. The weather will be nicer and Bryn will not only be able to go on the rides, but she might actually even enjoy them (or at the very least know she's on one)!

Here are the pictures from our last day...

Waiting to meet up with everyone.

Amusing Mommy and Daddy.

We think she's quite funny too.

And Mr. Bunny is HILARIOUS!

Mercer was just a bit too small to go on the roller coaster, so she had to hang out with the McCrystal clan. That's okay with us - we adore her! I mean, how cute is this kid? Ann swears that she can throw a tantrum with the best of them, but Dale and I just don't think it's true. I mean, she's such a little pixie.

Can you hear Maddox' giggle through the picture? Love it!

Mutual adoration.

Face touching.

Dale really didn't want to take this picture. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm a Mom now; who do I have to impress? My coolness factor is long gone.

The biggest kid of all, Pete, looks like he had the best time.

Avery getting in her sumo stance (that's just a guess - no idea what's going on here).

Gary and Merrick. Poor Gary - this was a water slide.

Avery and Maddox.

Partners in crime running to go down the slide again.

Someone was NOT feeling it.

Mr. Peacock was waiting for us when we got home.

4th of July Weekend - Day 2

Saturday (July 4th), we went to Universal Studios. Again, it was HOT, but Bryn was perfect. She's such a trooper! It's always nice to spend time with my nieces and nephews too.

I can't wait for Bryn to get a little older to really appreciate her cousins. My sisters' kids LOVE seeing each other! This was evidenced by Avery running full steam into my house and I go up to her with a big smile and reach my arms out for a hug, and she's grinning at me, running towards me, stops short and says, "where's Maddox?"

Sitting at the Universal Monsters' Music Show.

Luke and Pete

Bryn giggling at Avery.

Arriving at the park. Mercer is ready to ROCK!

Everything about this picture just looks awkward.

Loving on Maddox.

Shrek 4D was clearly highly entertaining for her.

Mercer going a little nuts on Pete's back. She's such a cutie pie!

New teething apparatus: Daddy's years-old, sweaty hat.

Brynnie can't get enough of her Aunt Ann.

Maybe it's time to go home now...

Yeah, it's definitely time to go.
