This morning I was thinking about things I hate doing and I came across my top three. I know I'm not alone in hating most of these, so I thought I'd share.
1-Putting away laundry. I have no problem doing it, or even folding towels and baby clothes, but I'd rather have a root canal that have to fold and hang up my or Dale's clothes.
2-Emptying the dishwasher. Like with laundry, I have no problem laoding it, or beginning it, but it's torture unloading it. I actually even timed how long it takes to do this the other day and it takes less than 4 minutes. How can I hate something that takes less than 4 minutes to accomplish?
3-Getting gas. It's just a pain. I want to be like Air Force One where another car can just pull up beside me as I'm driving and refuel my car on the road. The worst is that every pump now seems to go sooooo slowly too.
So, those are the 3 things I hate most to do. Just thought I'd share.

The Home Stretch!
I had another doctor's appointment today. From now on out I start going to the doc every week. Pretty exciting!
At this appointment, since we're getting so close to the end, he told me what to do if my water breaks, if I'm getting contractions, if I'm not feeling her move, etc. Basically, everything ended in "go to labor and delivery".
Before I left, my doctor actually set my induction date. If Bryn doesn't make her debut early, her birthday will be December 16, 2009!

Shower

My sisters and sister-in-law threw a baby shower for me on October 24th. It was so nice. The food was great, and the company was even better. It was the first time Jeni and Melanie had actually stayed with me on a visit, so it was extremely nice being able to catch up with them as well. Ann, Jeni, Mel and I all got together for dinner at this Italian restaurant called Donna's and it is my new favorite place! Now if I can just convince Dale to go with me...
Here is the only picture I have from the shower. I specifically requested minimal photography to be taken as I am not a fan of looking at myself in this current "state".
Daleisms
So, last week I was talking with my dear husband and I mentioned to him that I might want to start out trying natural childbirth. Most likely I'll end up getting an epidural, but I'd like to at least think about going pain med-free. His response: "Nah. You don't do well being uncomfortable."
He said something funny this morning as well. I was laying in bed mentioning that I need to get one of those pillows that allow you to prop yourself up in bed to breastfeed when Dale said "I'm pretty sure I read something about you needing to get up and go in the other room to breastfeed". You know, as not to wake your loving husband.
Back when I could still at least squeeze into my pre-pregnancy clothes, I put on a pair of tight fitting shorts, which were old and the seams were already fraying. Well, I got the Daleism, "you look like the Hulk" - busting out of my shorts.
It's these sweet little moments that made me want to create a post about his words of wisdom. I will call them, from here on out, "Daleisms".
More infamous Daleisms to come.....
